In 1990 the Scout Association added the Joey Scout section to involve boys and girls who are 6 and 7 years old. The emphasis is on fun and friendship and a gentle introduction to a world of challenges and adventures through Scouting. Badges are mainly achieved as a Mob, rather than individually, as is done on the other sections. Joeys are taught about sharing, about nature and about the world around them. Go to the SITE MAP.

1st Picnic Point Scout Group. Has been operating since 25th September 1958. Our Group has 9 female leaders and 7 male leaders and caters for Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts and Venturers. Most of our leaders have undertaken additional training to ensure. They are well placed to lead our youth membership on the Scouting trails.
